About Us

Charlotte & Nick started building Fairy Godmover (previously Keyfficient) in November 2023, after seeing how stressed their friends were as they tried to buy a home.

Our aim is to make the home buying process better, starting with helping first time buyers like our friends!

Our guide is completely free to home buyers - we reckon you have to pay enough already in fees & deposit.

We make money from referrals to Really Moving, a website where you can compare quotes from conveyancers, surveyors and removals firms. We only make money if you fill in one of the (completely optional) forms shown on some of our pages. This allows us to continue spending time supporting and improving Fairy Godmover.

We both have a background working in tech, and Nick has worked in property tech before. We live in a share of freehold flat in London with our grumpy cat Kalvin 🐈‍⬛
