Planning a perfect moving day

Moving day can often be one of the most stressful parts of transitioning to a new home. With so many tasks to juggle and details to remember, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. The key to a successful move lies in careful planning and organisation. Some things to think about are:

• Consider asking someone to look after your pets or children on moving day, to ensure a calmer transition for them and less to worry about for you.
• Plan food and drink, or meals, ahead of time.
• Check if your contents insurance covers your belongings during the move, and if not, consider whether you want to get some that does.
• Plan activities and timings for the day: remember if you're moving on completion day, the seller has until 1pm to leave their property, and you’ll need to pick up keys from the estate agent.
